The primary goal of the Emerging Leaders Program is to develop leadership skills that will lead to both personal growth and active involvement in our community. Geared towards both new students and those who wish to be more engaged, the program allows participants to invest in themselves while building strong connections with peers, faculty, and staff across campus.
The Program offers two “tracks” to support student availability. The Institute Track is a cohort model that spans seven weeks in the Spring semester, while the Workshop Track is an individual model that allows participants to attend events throughout the academic year. Details for both tracks can be found below.

Self-Reflection Questions
Self-reflections will not be due until April, however if you’d like to jot notes down while it is still fresh here are the questions that will be required. Each has a minimum of 250 words.
- How has your perception of leadership (both personally and collectively) changed since attending workshops on campus throughout the year?
- Which workshop had the largest impact on you? What were your 1-2 key takeaways and how have you incorporated them in your life since?
- Who is a leader you admire, and why?
- What is a skill or experience you’d like to develop or have in the future to become a more effective leader? How do you plan to accomplish that?
